Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an MBBS Doctor at a DrSafeHands clinic located in Bengaluru. The doctor will conduct outpatient consultations focused on sexual health and STIs, including history taking, physical examination, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment. Daily responsibilities include ordering and interpreting laboratory investigations, counseling clients on prevention, safe practices, and follow-up care, and maintaining accurate and confidential medical records. The doctor will collaborate with counselors and support staff to ensure a respectful, non-judgmental environment and continuity of care. The role also involves adherence to clinical protocols, participation in quality improvement initiatives, and staying updated with current guidelines in sexual and reproductive health.
Qualifications
- Licensed MBBS medical graduate with valid registration (MCI/State Medical Council) and completed internship.
- Clinical competence in sexual and reproductive health, including STIs, contraception, and related counseling.
- Strong patient communication skills, with the ability to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, and gender-neutral care.
- Experience or interest in outpatient clinic practice, including examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
- Comfort working with diverse populations, including individuals of varied ages, genders, sexual orientations, and relationship statuses.
- Basic familiarity with electronic medical records, documentation, and use of digital tools for clinical workflows.
- Prior experience in sexual health, infectious diseases, dermatology, or family medicine is an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in training, continuous medical education, and awareness initiatives related to sexual health.
